Hello Parents (and students….and anyone else).
Today's secret password is...12214! :)
All right then, here’s the plans for the week…..
Monday – I was totally gone! Off to the doctor…AND the Dentist. Boy, I really love going to the dentist. Actually, that’s a lie. But in any case, the students have an assignment to do during that class period, which is due at the end of it. I se that most people turned in their assignment. This is a good thing.
Tuesday – Discussion and notes over Chapter Two (NM in WWI). We’ll talk about the important things from the chapter. The kids will take down notes. It’ll be great.
Wednesday – The dreaded Spanish Flu of 1918! We’ll talk about it today. Also, we’ll go over what the Q3 project will look like, and when it’s due. I’ll want the students to have chosen a topic by Friday, so they can get started on their research.
Thursday – We’re going to play a bit of a review game for the chapter 2 exam. As always, to the victors go the spoils! Namely, donuts. ;) I will tell the students every question that will be on the test. No secrets.
Friday – Chapter 2 exam! So, there are four essay questions on this exam. There is a question on Pancho Villa. Also, there’s a question about WWI! There’s a question about the Spanish Flu! There’s also a question where they students will list and evaluate at least three things that occurred during this time that people might be proud of, as well as three things that occurred during this time that maybe that maybe should NOT make us proud. The student will choose three of the questions and answer them.
So, who wants a homework pass?? The first (and only the first) person to communicate to me via spoken work or e-mail the answer to the following question gets a homework pass....
In the New Mexico constitution, what is the minimum number of people that may be on a grand Jury, and what section and article is this information found?
Remember only the first one to get the information to me wins!
