Helloooo Parents and/or Students!
BOTH Classes, 7th AND 9th grade…you have a paper/project due next Monday! That’s the 7th of December! I’m sure that all of you have been using your time productively and are practically finished with the assignment! Strongly enough, however, I am equally sure that about half of you haven’t actually started the assignment yet. Either way, it’s due next Monday. Friday this week will be the one and only day you have to work on your project. I’m not assigning any homework that’s due this week, so you have some time in the evenings as well. Make use of it!
Monday and Tuesday – The students will have a multimedia presentation on the Great Depression and the New Deal. It’s going to be awesome!
Wednesday – What’s a fact? What’s an opinion? What’s a Primary Source? What’s a Secondary Source? What the heck is Chapter 6 even about, anyway? Who am I? What’s my purpose in the Universe? Why is my History teacher glaring at me that way? These are questions that we will be addressing on Wednesday. It’s going to be awesome!
Thursday – The students will get the next batch of Critical Facts, and we’ll take a look at them. Lots of cool stories in World War II! We’ll take a quiz on the things in their Critical Facts notebook which they should already know, and we’ll have another random assessment, which the students will plot on their Continuous Assessment graphs. It’s a short day, so this will be more than enough.
Friday – Q2 Project Workday. This is the day I have set aside to allow the students to work on whatever they need to work on to get their Projects completes. I will have a cart of Chrome Books in the classroom for the students to use. They can work on whatever they need to work on for their project. Remember, it can be paper heavy, graphic heavy, or balanced! Whatever it is, it’s due on Monday!!
And that’s what’s going on this week. Only three weeks till Christmas Break and it will go by fast, especially for the 9th graders. Lots to cover!
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
