Hey 7th Graders! Here's what's going on this week....
Monday - A lot of you didn't finish your Chapter 4 exam last Friday, so I'm going to let those that need some more time have it during class. If you need to finish your exam, you'll do it in class! Otherwise, you'll be copying down the Critical Facts for Chapter 5 and 6 into your CF Notebooks. I'll add those Critical Facts to this post, as well as the main documents page.
Tuesday - No school! Election day. Go vote! Oh, wait...you can't so that yet. I guess you'll just have to stay home and play video games. Life is tough that way.
Wednesday - So, we're going to talk about our Q2 project today. You will NOT have 5 weeks to do it, like you did for the last one. You'll have about three weeks, which should be plenty of time. I'll tell you today what I want you to do. Be thinking of a topic you want to write about.
Thursday - Notebook Check today! Then we'll start on Chapter Five of the book. We'll talk about it for a bit, then I'll give you some work (GR 5) and some time in class to work on it. I'll attach a copy of that worksheet to this post, as well.
Friday - We're going to talk about how we take notes, and you'll get to practice that while we discuss the first Spanish settlements in New Mexico. After all, I'm not going to be around to give you board notes forever! One day you'll be in college and you'll need to do it on your own. If your ancient and tottering old 7th grade history teacher came into your college classroom and wrote your notes down for you, well....let's face it....that would be kind of weird.
