Helloooo Parents and/or Students!
BOTH Classes, 7th AND 9th grade…you have a paper/project due next Monday! That’s the 7th of December! I’m sure that all of you have been using your time productively and are practically finished with the assignment! Strongly enough, however, I am equally sure that about half of you haven’t actually started the assignment yet. Either way, it’s due next Monday. Friday this week will be the one and only day you have to work on your project. I’m not assigning any homework that’s due this week, so you have some time in the evenings as well. Make use of it!
7th Grade Plans
Monday and Tuesday – We’re going to discuss the information in Chapter 5, which covers the last of the Spanish explorations into New Mexico, and the initial colonization of this place by the Spanish settlers. It didn’t work out very well for the Native Americans. Come to think of it, it didn’t really work out very well for the Spanish either. The students will take notes. It will be awesome!
Wednesday – Chapter 5 Note Quiz…the students will take a test on chapter 5, but they can use the notes they took in class! (We’re practicing note-taking) With the notes, this should be one of the easier exams of the Semester.
Thursday – The students will get the next batch of Critical Facts, and we’ll take a look at them. We’ll take a quiz on the things in their Critical Facts notebook which they should already know, and we’ll have another random assessment, which the students will plot on their Continuous Assessment graphs.
Friday – Q2 Project Workday. This is the day I have set aside to allow the students to work on whatever they need to work on to get their Projects completes. I will have a cart of Chrome Books in the classroom for the students to use. They can work on their paper, their graphic, or their Bibliography. Remember, it’s due on Monday!!
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
