Hello Parents and Students!
I hope everyone had a nice break. Here’s the plans for the week!
Monday – Parent-Teacher Conferences.
Tuesday – Two things today. First, the Persuasive paper that the kids worked on last week is due, along with the rough draft that was edited in class, and the Outline the kids made for their paper. Also, the kids will take the 3rd Quarterly Critical Facts Exam. They have taken it twice so far. It doesn’t count as a grade in the gradebook, but I use the data to make sure that we are learning the material we need for the final. Call with the highest average gets a treat, of course. Victoribus Spolia! Study your Critical Facts!
Wednesday – On Wednesday we’ll start working on the Outline for the next persuasive paper. We’ve already gone over making an outline and editing the rough draft, so we won’t need to do that again. I’ll assign the paper On Wednesday and make it due next Tuesday, so there should be plenty of time to get it done.
Thursday – We’ll start Chapter 7 in the text. The kids will get a Guided Reading Worksheet (GR7, which they can work on at the end of class. The worksheet will be due on Tuesday,, along with the Persuasive paper. I know that’s two assignments due on the same day, but there should be plenty of time to get it all done.
Friday – On Friday I’m out of the classroom, taking the Chess Team to a Tournament in Espanola. For the 7th grade I’m calling this a work day. The kids can work on their GR7 or they can work on their Persuasive Paper.
And that’s the plans for the week! Please feel free to drop me a line at [email protected] or give me a call at 505-426-7825 if you have any questions. Remember, if you simply reply to this e-mail I won’t get the letter! I don’t know why. If you want to drop me a line mail me directly.
