Hello 7th graders!
So, here's the plans for the week....
Monday - So on Monday we have a sort of Socratic discussion about the main ideas of the chapter. We're talking about the Mexican-American War, and what that was all about. We're talking about the Rebellion of 1847, and what that was all about. And we'll talk a bit about Land Grants, and what THAT was all about. You'll take notes. It'll be awesome.
Tuesday - On Tuesday you have SBA Science Testing, which is a little different fro the great big e-mail I sent out to all the parents (because I totally forgot about it, and so the weekly schedule has changed a little bit). Anyway, I may see some of you around 6th period, but mostly I won't see you at all on Tuesday.
Wednesday - On Wednesday You'll take the exam for chapter 10 in the text. You can use your notes! I hardly ever give out an open-notes test, so take advantage of it!
Thursday - On Thursday we'll have the Quarter 4 Critical Facts Test (QCFT4). As usual for these, it won't count against, you, but I want the data. You should have all 100 Critical Facts in your notebooks by now. Study them! The class with the MOST IMPROVED score gets the prize!
Friday - I'm gone on Friday, down to Albuquerque with the National History Days kids. You'll have a writing to do in class. It will be due at the end of class. It's for a grade! It should be an easy grade, so take advantage of it!
And there you have it! The 4th quarter is upon us!
